HAT RULES

YOU’RE NOT A PLAYER WITHOUT A HAT
(This rule is governed by S.O.T.G.) Clarifying statements:

CATCH W/OUT A HAT = TURNOVER.
THROW W/OUT A HAT = TURNOVER.
“D” W/OUT A HAT = UNCONTESTED FOUL
REMOVING ANOTHER PLAYER’S HAT = “HAT STRIP!”.

(If you make the catch and THEN your hat falls off ITS A TURN ! So if
you’ve got the disc and not a hat - it’s a turn)

HAT defined by Webster’s New World Dictionary of the Am. Language:
(n.) 1. a head covering, usually with a brim and a crown.

The following are not hats: Headbands, visors, bandanas. Plain ol’
baseball caps are strongly discouraged. (GET CREATIVE, it’s Halloween!).

There are no rules for affixing a hat to your head. Recommendations:
1) No staples or nails 2) Glue is effective but messy. 3) When using
tape, prewrap is strongly advised. A hat is “on” when it’s on your
head. - If you have a hat on under another hat, the hat on top is the
one that counts. Remember: its funny if your hat falls off, don’t get
mad - laugh.

Celebracion 2006 Announced

Thursday, October 5th, 2006

I just received this email today:

Hey guys, my name is Max and I am the VP of the University of Texas Ultimate Program this year. We are planning to have our co-ed Celebracion de Espiritu tournament on Nov. 11&12 this year. We are accepting 16 bids and they are due 10/27. The cost will be $150. The tournament will take place at the University of Texas on Whitaker fields and of course we will have all the usual tournament amenities available (plus a little extra). This tournament has been really fun the past few years and we anticipate this year to be no different.

Here is the tourney site with all pertinent info:
